People who eat higher amounts of sugar tend to be, you know, more obese. But people who eat fruit don't have those same associations. Why is that? Well, because fruit has fiber with it, right? So I started to kind of believe, based on the data he was looking at, that high sugar intake was not the problem per se. The problem was that high sugary foods typically are very low in fiber.
