The Importance of Narration in Rhetoric

Renaissance educators recognized the value of telling back lessons that have been read or learned. Erasmus, one of the most famous Renaissance scholars, considered narration to be indispensable. Comenius, a widely respected educational reformer who lived the century after Erasmus also recommended narration explicitly.
