St. Mark's Day

The 25th of April, 2023 is St. Mark's Day. Tradition holds that the gospel writer and companion to both Peter and Paul was martyred in Alexandria by being tied to the back of a horse and dragged through the city. The Christian History Almanac will be on display at CNN.com/Heroes every day this month until November 1st when it returns for another edition.
