The Story of Charlton Heston
In 1899, she decided to make a film about the stations of the cross. She called her film very simply, Jesus of Nazareth. It was made on 35 millimeter, the kind invented by the Lumiere brothers. And it is considered not only to be the first narrative film in history, but it's also the first peplum. The second part of her life story is almost a classic case of a woman being kind of taken over by a man and having her work usurped.
