Supreme court buys into the southern way of thinking about race. White students are far more likely to be in gifted and talented programmes than black students. Even when you look at two students who are similar on math and reading achievement, a white student is still more than two times as likely to be receiving gifted servicesAs that black student is. That may seem like a small distinction, believe me, it's not. We're still dealing with the consequences.
