The Challenges of Starting Treatment on a Weekly Injection
Wagovii is a once weekly injection. Patients need to titrate up and so if the initial doses are in shortage, it makes it very, very challenging for patients to start treatment as well as maintain treatment at the cadence that they need. So what we did when we saw the data and we saw the shortage starts to take hold is we immediately turned off all topofunnel advertising, no TV, no radio. We stopped all ads with the word wagovii in it. We started increasing calls to the pharmacy five, 10, 15 times for certain patients. We started issuing credits for anyone who wasn't able to pick up their medication within 30 days. And then
