The Rise and Fall of Chinese Universities

In 1990, there were 2 million university students in China. Today that number is 44.3 million and rising. Nearly 60 percent of high school age students or 18 to 24 year old students in China enroll in one or another form of higher education. In the United States, less than 40 percent but about 40 percent complete higher education.
