The Moral Obligation to Intervene in the Rawlsian Framework
Simon Jones asks whether we as Britain have a moral obligation to intervene and implement this Rawlsian framework in countries that are yet to accept it. Daniel O'Neill: I think our moral obligations are clearer in what we shouldn't do, which is that we shouldn't be supporting countries that violate the most basic human rights of their citizens. The question about the distribution of wealth and political change, I guess, is an even more pressing one for us right now. We would ideally be aiming for not a society where 50% have wealth and 50% don't, but where wealth is much more equally distributed right across the piece. And then we'll have to wrap things up on our forex
