The FBI Is a Conservative Institution That Has Always Been There
The FBI along with the CIA, along with nearly every institution with prosecutorial and or extra legal powers in this country is at its heart conservative as shit. This is a conservative institution that has always been there. They are doing this first of all to try and play the refs. It also, by the way, is a threat, which is we will build an apparatus that is expressly a political weapon. And again, they would not think twice if they could get anybody on the other side.
