Is the President's Budget Really Important?

Jon Huntsman: Does the president's budget actually tell us more about the Republican party being the party of no or just whatever they are? He says budgets signal, at least rhetorically, that if we had our druthers, this is the kind of president I would be. Huntsman: Party platforms don't matter except insofar as they tell you what the party wants you to believe how the party sees itself.
