Bill Clinton apologized for his affair with a 22-year-old white house intern. He had to say sorry over and over again. The media, acting on behalf of the public, will pursue somebody until they've sort of run ground. So asking for an apology is a measure of the fact that we now regard our political leaders as much more accountable than ever before.
