Theory must be testable and falsifiable, but not change after the fact. Predictions that it makes should be very narrow and precise. There is no alternative to general relativity - all experiments inconsistent with it have turned out to be faulty. We are at the beginning of infinity because we will always come up with new ideas. And none of our theories are perfect as human beings aren't perfect in their process. It's erroa pride which is so good for science.
