The story is narrated by a smart, sharp, 22 year old irish woman, eva. Ava hasn't got a lot of money, but she finds herself surrounded by people who have ex patriot lawyers and investment bankers,. including an english banker called julian. But then, when ava moves in with julian, he becomes a sort of lover come mate.
