Is There a Strong Emotional Side to Ukraine?
For many russians, ukraine continues to be part of a historical russian state. I don't think that the way to resolve the ukraine prob for russia is to invade it and occupy it. But if ukrane stays outside nato, then there remains a chance that yukrane might be in the future, a country that would be much friendlier to russia than to day.
