And in a way, that model is a model we bring into adulthood. When i grew up, my father always impressed upon me to know important, wealthy and powerful people, because they would help me. That was the idea of the goru. But what i saw as i got into the world of meeting spiritual beings of great profundity and wisdom was that it wasn't that they did something to you or for you. They were more like a doorway or mirror through which you see where you weren't
