Alaska Congresswoman Mary Peltola is a local Alaskan official indigenous woman who's served in different positions in Alaska politics. She won a special election this summer where she squared off against Sarah Palin and Nick Begich, both very big names in her Republican party. And so it was funny to talk to her because it felt like I was time warping into a different world. The measure of what you're describing is just you could split ticket voting, which has just been on an absolute decline to non-existence.
