Intellectual Property Is Different From Physical Property
intellectual property has always been different to the way we treat physical property. There are cultural concepts that only work when they spread, when they are shared. Trade marks seek to take words and concepts out of the ability of others to use them. When an architect makes a building like falling water, is it ok for some one else to take a picture of that building? If i'm making a movie, am i allowed to have any buildings in the back ground of my movie? And what if it's not a building? Can that painting appear in a movie, or is it private property? Where do we draw the line?
