The Three Resolutions of Edwards
The resolutions have to do with mostly his, well, three things. In the very first couple of resolutions, he clearly establishes that life is about glorifying god. The second kind of goals are what i call his hial resolutions. He talks quite a bit about death and thinks on heaven and hell. And then you hear a little bit of the escatological because he's already talking about this idea of the shortness and brevity of life.
