Is Religion Inherently Harmful?

I was happy to call myself an antitheist then, when i had first started. I just don't think that it can be demonstrated that in all cases, believing in a theistic god or supernatural conception of any kind, d is inherently harmful. To me, saying religion is bad is like saying politics c is bad. Most people are not a political and even those who are, who are very strongly politically engaged, if you asked them, is politics a good thing, they'd say no. But that doesn't exclude the, i dea of certain religious ideas being actually beneficial, even necessary for human spiritual growth.
