Is There a Divine Command Theory?
Aristotle: I don't think a divine command theory rules out the idea that actions are wrong because of certain intrinsic features they have. But it's not clear to me that it's that when you use that language of suffering is intrinsically wrong that you must be committed to the idea that suffering and wrongness are the same thing, he says. "I'm so absurd to say that a being that's perfectly loving, perfectly just, fully informed, or by the way, a being that has those attributes could command something that's unjust, cruel, barbaric, irrational," Aristotle adds.
