Are the Ants a Part of the Farmers?
Is this group of ants really a sort of outlier among the insects and the farmers? Is there something special about their history, or the conditions and places where they've evolve that are conducive to farming? Why isn't this, or is this a more diverse behavior than at least i'm aware ofy. There are other insect lineages that also farm, right? There are some fungus growing termites that also farm their own food. It's actually speculated they might have started doing it just before the ants, so they might be the world's first farmers. But then, of course, there are also all kinds of beetles that, you know, farm fungi inside of wood cavities.
