The Importance of a Hierarchy of Values in Our Culture
I think the pandemic really revealed that there's not a clear hierarchy of values. I don't see a lot of this discussion happening, whether in circles of faith or just in the general culture at large. And it was as if there was mass confusion about how do we prioritize one thing or the other? Everybody wanted to absolutize various values. There wasn't any kind of consensus or agreement on what the hierarchy of values should be In our society or in our culture.
