Honeymooning in Diabetes
Honeymoon is when your body has enough insulin from injections or maybe you've started a pump pretty quickly. It gives your beta cells a little bit of a break. They start to help because they're not as stressed as they were pre-diagnosis where they couldn't keep up with such high blood sugar levels. You end up having this drop off in insulin need. Some people require only basal insulin, some don't take any bolus insulin at first.
