Ashley Dumer: I think there is something in our little like we're always talking about this on do more optimism, like the cosmo local idea. And it's kind of liberating to not have everything be so all encompassing about your life and experience and work and the things you care about. She says she has tried to cultivate a similar approach to American politics through just being deeply ignorant. "I don't know what congressional districts I'm in," writes Dumer. 'It's actually people appreciate it when you when they start talking about it and then you're just like, I don't care'
