The Similarity Between a Monarchy and a Democracy
There is a sort of essential structure. And we know that the kind of democracy we have in the United States grows out of what Montesquieu is observing. So juries of peers and the kind of common law stuff that's already there in England that became part of our society is there. There are these, I guess you might think of them as cultural, but institutions that aren't strictly speaking governmental.
