Is There a Lightning Connector on the Inside of an iPhone?

So if you think about the hardware on the inside of an iphone, so a lightning connector is, think of it looks like a square shovel. But they don't have them any more. A the newest ones may, i think the newest ones do. They index where the connection goes, and then it just pops on the connector. Pretty cool.
