How to Inject Shoulder Pain
The care pathway that we've set up for someone who has a reactive rotator cuff, so an acute irritable rotator cuff may be quite irritable on movement. The care path and that the shoulder-centered modification procedure that I described earlier isn't working. What I'll tend to do in that patient group is take out any activities that are aggravating the shoulder. So together with the relative rest, then escalate it to Ibubrufen. And if that's still not working, then perform an ultrasound guided injection into the subacromial bursa.
