The Impending Ecocide

We watch things all the time where people are being killed, right? Yes. The most moralistic films include the desire to kill someone, saving private Ryan. It's about the destruction of the other that constitutes your right to life. And what amazes me is that a lot of human philosophers think that we can justify ourselves quite simply because there has been suffering and barbarism built into it. Or my philosophical bet noir is Nick Bostrom at future of humanity institute at Oxford,. who says, look, the number one problem facing us today is existential risk.
