Saved by the Bell debuted on August 20th, 1989 which wasn't Saturday morning or after school but was actually a Sunday night. Fun fact, this was also the same night of the infamous Menendez Brothers murders. The intro for Saved by the Bell heavily features the Memphis design with swirls and squiggly lines moving throughout the screen. And like Peewee's Playhouse, we see full usage of the Memphis style in the Max, the restaurant of choice for the kids of Bayside High.
