Many people in business feel like if they're writing important business things, they have to write it in a sophisticated way. And academic writing is very different than the way normal people write. Don't be afraid that if you're not all fussy and to whom and not ending sentences with prepositions, don’t be afraid that people will think that you're not smart. You wouldn't have your job if you weren't smart.
