The First Cycle Share Scheme in the Sixties
The first cycle share scheme was developed way back in the 19 sixties in amster. Janet ball has spoken to the dutchman who came up with the ideastret, lud schimelpennock. In one of their first editions, lude announced a revolutionary idea to cut car usage and leave them around the city for free. But at first they didn't have a lot of bikes. And when you look what was the white bike? It was only an article in a small magazine and an few biks painted white. They were gone very, very fast.
