Kate Schulte: I was really thinking about hyperlinks, these visual cues that you click on and they kind of bring you to another place. So the hypersentimental painters that I kind of name have adopted this way of working where the painting is like a sentimental portrait but there's a second layer of meaning that is speaking about their scene to their scene.
