Polish Military Planning During the First World War
Poland would spend about 10% of its GDP on defense from 1935 to 1937. By 1939, Polish military spending was dwarfed by what the Germans were spending at the same time. The problem that Poland could never solve was that its enemies were spending massively more because they just had more resources. While the Polish military had not fought a war in almost 20 years, nobody else had either. This meant that they had some of the most recent experience in fighting in Europe due to their experiences in the Polish-Soviet war.
