The Hardest Day on the Aircraft
"It's one of the perks of the job, basically, that you're allowed to take it somewhere and go somewhere new," he says. "I am exhausted because I've been micromanaging and overthinking ... not getting as much sleep as I should have" The hardest day on a C-17 was his upgrade ride from pilot to aircraft commander. He recalls flying into marginal weather with two pairs of pilots in formation.
