It's almost like approaching your business as if thinking of yourself as a competitor of yourself and say, what would I do in order to beat me? Or how would I put myself out of business? And so would we rather be disrupted by somebody else or disrupt ourselves? The right answer is typically disrupt ourselves because you can do it in the way that gives you an advantage over the competition.

- 3) "Don't intellectualize people." "Don't try to fool them, treat them as people... As you would want to be treated."

"Too often CEO's will allow what's urgent to crowd out what's really important. It's wrong to define strategy as following best practices. This creates sameness and sameness is not a strategy. It's a recipe for mediocrity."
