Federated Averaging: A New Approach to Distributed Systems
Federated averaging is a way of sending data between servers and phones. It can save bandwidth and battery life, but it also has its own set of problems. The problem with federated averaging is that the slowest phone will only be able to train as fast as the fastest one.
