Communication 101 - When to Call a Time Out

If you are unable to be assertive in communication for whatever reason, usually emotional escalation, then you can call a time out. You don't need to be passive aggressive. You can just use a calm even tone of saying I feel blank when blank. When is the explanation? Whatever behavior you're seeing or observing. So you practice this. Something else that's like communication 101, which I talk about in my communication course, time outs. A time out is a valid skill to help you stay assertive.
