Eugene Fama is considered one of the grandfathers of modern finance. He's a great dude, and I'd do anything for the guy. So if you talk to him in private conversation and you're providing good research that's done in a reasonable sound way, he's not going to disagree with the results. The big muscle movement that prices are generally efficient markets are highly competitive is still the overarching theme in private. And it's just much easier to dismiss things in the public domain because people don't have time or ability to tell nuanced arguments like in politics.
