The History of the Jongnu
The relationship between the jongnu and chinese dynasties was often rocky. Incursions from the jong nu inspired the building of the defences which would eventually become the great wall of china. During the han dynasty, it became easier to pay them of rather than fighting them directly. This is some to speculate that a group of jannu who were driven west into central asia eventually became the huns. The theory was originally put forward by an eighteenth century french historian named joseph de guine. De guiner believed all o these pastoralists could trace their routes back to a group of noah's descendants who adwandered east after the great biblical flood
