Cognitive Impairment and Diagnostic Uncertainty
The patient is a 76 year old right handed woman of Mexican descent, third generation English speaking for her whole life. She has been referred by her neurologist for cognitive impairment and diagnostic uncertainty. Her difficulties are mostly in the speech and memory areas,. primarily under speech, word finding problems without any comprehension or fluency issues that were reported anyway. It appears that these cognitive issues have impacted her daily life and IADLs across multiple areas.
