Is There a Disadvantage to Using Local Files?

With rome, i don't have to consider thea like where it's actually being stored. I think that's the way to do it if you're going to use local files. But there's limitations in that too with obsidian though, like the people who put everything in a single folder. And then even kind of the final step for me is the tags i create related to the medii consume. It can be some spiritual thing about productivity or whatever at all these trade secrets  I'm talking about. Once i'm done consuming and digesting some of this metamorphosis stuff, Yo, boom, you've got creativity exactly right!
