Why Are Bond Yields So Low?

US Treasury bond yields are very low. Signifying there's nothing to worry about US government keep on spending like crazy, even though your debt to GDP levels are through the roof. Is it because the Fed is doing a lot of quantitative easing over the last year? Is that the reason why interest rates haven't gone much higher than they maybe they would have if the Fed wasn't in there buying a lot of treasures?
