The Importance of Proximity in Cities
Density of cities and how to create that density is always the way to increase tax revenues in a city. The most extreme example of that is around Wall Street in New York, which was the concentration of investment bankers who represented industrialists. Even telephones ran on lines, on copper lines, literally from one building to another. So all of these technologies come together in order to make business more efficient.
