TFA Teachers Outperform Control Teachers in Math and Science
Teach for America was established to try and give everyone the same chance. According to some studies, not only was this movement growing, it was effective. One paper published by the Urban Institute found TFA teachers outperformed control teachers in student math achievement. The impact of five TFA teachers and control teachers was no different in reading achievement.
