Glaucon's Challenge, and Adamantisus's Challenge
In the book, glaucon challenges socrates to prove that justice really is better than injustice. Glaucon's challenge falls into two main parts, as far as i see. He says there are things that we believe are good for their own sake and those that you only delight in for what comes from them. And then there are instrumental goods, o, so called goods, ot goods, that sort of lead to something else that's good.
