Amazon Anywhere: A Service That Lets Developers Integrate Amazon Shopping Into Virtual Worlds and Interactive Environments
Amazon launched Amazon Anywhere, a service that lets developers integrate Amazon shopping into virtual worlds and interactive environments. The first example of this is a Niantics new AR game called Peridot. Players who link their Amazon account can buy shirts, pop sockets and pillows from within the game. They can get shipping options and check out purchases all without leaving the game and the experience.
