The Future of PMOs

According to a 2018 survey by the PMI project management Institute, about half of PMOs fail to meet their original objectives. A 2017 study by Gartner reported that up to 50% of PMOs are closed within the first three years of establishment. The data now is saying that it's closer to two years, so they're failing faster. So after listening to all of that, you might think there's no chance for the future PMOs. And there is, but we have to stop following the typical advice if we want to stop getting the typical results.
