The Downsides of Cross Platform Frameworks
The downsides are actually quite similar to a lot of the downsides of web apps, but not quite as extreme. There's some performance penalty with these cross platform frameworks. They're essentially abstraction layers on top of the native platforms. It doesn't seem like native development really is ever going to go anywhere.
