Lakshmi: What we're learning is that the apps can get you matches, but it's hard, potentially impossible for technology to optimize for like IRL in real life compatibility. And what other ways has Tinder sort of affected how people treat each other even when they're not on Tinder? Lakshmi: In a weird way, being on the app kind of primes people to be shallow themselves and trying to have a connection with someone else.
