The Relationship Between Moral Foundations and People's Leadership Preferences

Dr. Chiu: I've worked in nonprofit management for a while and been concerned about social ills. As I came out of seminary and into doctoral studies, I discovered that my supervisor and I both had an interest in leadership and ethics. And he invited me onto a team that had just started looking at the relationship between morality or what we call moral foundations and people's leadership preferences. We want to know if there's something deeper there causing the troubles we're seeing in the world today.
